It constantly changes its shape, existing all around us. When we try to scoop it up with our hands, it slips through our fingers—yet its presence is undeniable. In this project, I use watercolor paint to create individual droplets, each encapsulated in laminated film and then photographed. Through this process, the elusive nature of water is rendered into a tangible and certain existence.” This artwork is dedicated to the 344 employees of Sanofi Frankfurt Office. It consists of 344 photographs and 344 droplets. The photographs are displayed on the wall, while the droplets are handed out personally to each employee. The title, 'Asteroids', symbolizes individuality and collectivity, as well as the ambiguity between the two, while offering hope that they can unite as one. Once received, each droplet becomes a vessel of personal memory. It may be displayed like a sculpture on a desk, given to someone else, or quietly forgotten in a drawer. How each employee engages with the piece—how they choose to display, care for, or interpret it, and how it may evolve over time—is entirely entrusted to them.
